The last week witnessed the launch of the Yamaha FZ 25 BS6 and the long due Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6. To add a bit more excitement, a few spy shots of the upcoming motorcycles also emerged on the internet. And just like every Sunday, we are back with our weekly report to give you a quick lowdown on the five most noteworthy bike stories from the last week.
Yamaha launched the BS6-compliant version of its quarter-litre offering, the FZ25, in India. It is also accompanied by a new S variant for those who want more aesthetic drama. While the former is priced at Rs 1.52 lakh, the latter costs Rs 1.57 lakh. Yamaha has not only updated the motorcycle’s 250cc, single-cylinder engine, but it has also bestowed the FZ25 with a more radical front end. Meanwhile, the S version gets additional elements such as a taller visor, knuckle guards and golden alloy wheels.
After releasing multiple teasers of the Mojo 300 BS6, Mahindra finally launched the motorcycle with prices starting at Rs 2 lakh. While the design of the bike remains unchanged, there are four new colour options which bring along a breath of fresh air. Powering the motorcycle is a 295cc, single-cylinder engine which makes 25.35bhp and 25.6Nm. It is suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock while the disc brakes are assisted by dual-channel ABS.
